Savannah Homes, Inc., is owned by Ted Grob and is a real estate development and homebuilding company. Located in Des Moines, Iowa, Savannah Homes, Inc., specializes in work force, affordable and entry-level housing.

Since 1996, Savannah Homes has been working with first-time homebuyers to provide them with the information they need to make smart and informed decisions when purchasing a home. The experienced team of professionals at Savannah Homes is equipped with years of industry experience and know how to provide their customers with any help they may need in the home buying process.

tedTed Grob

Ted graduated from the University of Georgia in 1966 with a BBA degree and a Real Estate Major. He started his homebuilding career in Des Moines, Iowa in 1970. He is an honorary lifetime member of the Greater Des Moines Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club. He has built approximately 2,500 homes and townhomes in Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Ames, Iowa City, Marion, Marshalltown, Ankeny, Altoona, Urbandale and West Des Moines.

Ted was the founder and president of Midland Homes, which he started in 1984, and built into the largest homebuilder in Iowa. The company was recognized as one of the 300 largest homebuilders in the U.S.

Ted started Savannah Homes in December 1996, when Midland Homes was sold. In most of his 49 homebuilding, years, he has worked on affordable housing issues and the critical need for affordable housing in Iowa communities. He has spoken extensively about this need in Cedar Rapids and Greater Des Moines. He is past chairman of the Developers Council of the GDM Homebuilders Association and currently focuses on, and speaks about issues relating to urban sprawl. Ted is also a former board member for Habitat for Humanity.

Ted and his wife, Julia, have two grown children, both of West Des Moines, Iowa, four grandchildren and a great grandson.

lindaLinda Aldrich

Linda Aldrich is Savannah Homes’ Construction Superintendent, one of only two female superintendents in Iowa. She is also a Certified Green Professional with the homebuilding industry.

Linda started her homebuilding career in 1984 with Midland Homes and has been in the industry ever since. Linda enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, Jeff, her two grown children Eli and Zac and three

grandchildren.

Linda oversees the construction of every home Savannah Homes builds, she also performs our plans and specs meetings and Homeowner orientations.
